Hey everyone!
Yesterday I really wanted to see the Oscar show. It was live on Tv,
but at night time. From 2 AM till 6 AM. I just went to bed early,
very dissapointed that I couldn't watch it. I really wanted to see
Sean Penn or Johnny Depp win for Best Actor in a Leading Role. I
expected Sean Penn to win. And I really wanted to see Tim Robbins
winning his Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. I expected him
to win. And what happened? I woke up in the middle of the night to go
to the toilet and when I got back I thought about the Oscars. It was
live on Tv...so I turned on my Tv and watched it at the BBC. I was
just right on time to see the nominations for Best Actor in a Leading
Role. And I was so happy to see Tim Robbins win the Oscar for his
role in Mystic River, a movie I can't wait to see. He played Dave
Boyle, a victim of violence and abuse and I really his speech. He did
a good word for abused people: Here are his words which I wanted to
share with you:

In this movie, I play a victim of abuse and violence and if you are
out there and are a person that has -- had that tragedy befall you,
there is no shame and no weakness in seeking help and counseling it
is sometimes the strongest thing that you can do to stop the cycle of
violence. Thank you.

I was so glad that I woke up last night, and that I could see the
little part of that show.

wow, thanks for sharing this with us I didn't get to see it, cos I
wasn't as fortunate as you to wake up in the middle of the night
I'm glad RotK won so many Oscars, Peter Jackson really deserved it. I
haven't seen a lot of the movies that were nominated, but I was a bit
disappointed at Johnny Depp not winning, even though I expected Sean
Penn to win.

I love watching the Oscars. I wasn't able to watch all of it due to
a massive amount of homework. I did tape them though. I love when
Billy Crystal hosts he is sooo funny. I also liked watching Jack
Black and Will Ferrel sing that song about how the acceptance
speeches are boring if they're too long. It was hilarious! I really
wanted either Johnny Depp or Bill Murray to win since they are both
so talented. My guess was that it wouikld either be Sean Penn or Ben
Kingsly. I haven't seen any of the nominated movies, except for
Pirates of the Caribbean. Now I want to see all of them especially
Mystic River. They had both Sean Penn and Tim Robbins win. I also
thought that Renee Zellweger would win for supporting acctress and
that Charlize Theron would win for best actress. I was right! That
was cool. I was getting kind of aggrivated when LOTR won all the
categories that they were nominated in. I'm not the biggest fan of
those movies. I guess it was cool becuase only two other movies in
history have gotten 11 Academy Awards (Titanic and Ben Hur) It was a
pretty good awards show this year. I liked it. Yeah for all the
winners, even LOTR:The Return of the King! Love and Peace-Bethany

Hello
First of all I want to say that I don't mean to offend anyone with
what I'm going to say!
The Oscars were annoying! Johnny Depp deserved Best Actor but Sean
Penn was wicked in his role as well. LOTR winning EVERYTHING they
were nominated for was just silly. I mean Best Song???? That's
taking things too far. That song was pathetic and doesn't suit the
over all "feel" of the movie (although the lyrics do) so I think one
of the songs off Cold Mountain should've taken out that. Peter
Jackson was disgraceful as far as dressing goes. The Oscars are one
of the most important nights in the movie industry and he showed up
looking like he just fell out of bed! He even cut off the top button
of his shirt so people couldn't tell him to do it up. Sofia Copolla
should've got Best Director because she actually deserved it! So
other than the Oscars LOTR and Peter Jackson won, all the right
people won! Esp Charlize Theron! She just ROCKS!

Remember this is all in my own opinion and no one should take it
seriously!

Love and Peace
Michelle
