| Thanks for posting this. 
It's so depressing to read stuff like that. Sadly it seems as though the majority doesn't realize how important it is to keep the rivers alive. It's good there are still people out there who care.

| Kathy/Hel.... It IS really sad however, I felt this forum was a great place to post this older article and have shared it with many others too. It's these kinds of realities that we ALL need to be reminded of more often.... its hard to know what to do about such gigantic global issues, but as the saying goes ... start with yourself, with whatever can be done, one day at a time. Anyways.... Rivers/Oceans and Trees are close to my heart. As are children and animals...
