| Hi, I'm Rose and new here. I have posted several messages, now i want to try starting a new thread. :P
I want to talk about our favorite River's style. It's a little bit strange we never talk about his style. Especially the way he dressing (sorry for my bad English, i come from a non-English-spoken-country). My favorite River's style is when he dressed for ROCK AGAINST FUR, he wore flannel shirt, black sneakers, brown jacket and flannel shirt.. ah, and wore glasses too!

(check it out from the link above)
One day i wore the same dress too and went with friends too mall. But i didn't wear the brown jacket, but green. With the same glasses and black sneakers. My friends, they're astonished. Said that i'm kinda geeky but looked good. I said, i wore the same thing as River Phoenix, and they have no idea who he was. Damn!
But i notice River really loved to wear black sneakers! Anyone notice that?
Thanks for reading, don't forget to mention your fav too!

| I love his black sneakers too! All Star rocks!
Well first, I love the black/brown jacket he wears in some scenes and photos from MOPI. But then again I love everything from MOPI.
But my favorite style of his is probably the green military like jacket he wore to a thing hosted by PETA. can't quite remember what it was exactly.
And then the outfit he is wearing in the picture below
GOD I LOVE HIS LONG HAIR!
But I also like the outfit he is wearing in the picture taken by Gus Van Sant in 1993.

| I remember a picture where he wore a black PETA-Pullover and sunglasses, looks so fantastic.
But I think his laid back hippie style in general was so awesome and every outfit he wore remains special.
I also remeber, that he wore on many photos those AllStar chucks which I also own in grey. I love them, they rock :-).
His long hair were awesome, suited perfectly to him and made him appear much more lovely than he already were. But I also loved his blonde styled up hair.
My favourite style he had I uploaded on that picture. The jeans-jacket, the shirt, the jeans and his whole appearance --> a cool laid back River.

| I think his off-screen style really worked for him, especially when (in my opinion) he was alive when some of the most grotesque fashions were around!
The iconic River look for me is his Indiana Jones look, as it's the one I first knew of him in, even before I knew his name or anything about what he was about. An accessory I really like from another on-screen appearance is the red-lense sunglasses from My Own Private Idaho
In other news, I'm doing an Art project where I'm looking at how the public view celebrities even when they've never met them, especially concerning those young and famous- and how crazy the world can become because of fame. River has been quite interesting to research for this. To portray my ideas as a result of my research, I want to try out some of the old styles of portraiture and in result want to have a go at doing some portraits of the people I've researched in the old-fashioned style. For my study of River, I wanted to show him in modern clothing that could be passed as period clothing at the same time. I found this image- http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=10iasmv&s=4 -in the background of this website, and the clothes are what I've been looking for, but I was just wondering if anybody has a larger, coloured picture of it that I could use? Thanks- I didn't mean to ramble so much!
