| I am a huge fan of John Robbins' work. He has written many amazing books on food and health. I know River was also a follower of his work. Robbins has a book called "The Food Revolution" that mentions River throughout. I found a letter written to him about River being a negative influence to people due to his drug use. John Robbins awesomely defends River which I thought was quite brilliant.

I have give so much time and energy to defend River for explain his good side from him and he was not one junkie.
Is true he take not alltime the drugs is why it broke my heart he had take too many drugs this tragic night because I love him so much than I have hurt for him.
I hope than you understand what I mean.
This article is one blessing and thank you so much to John Robbins for defends River.

| I agree. I also think that John was very brave to defend River like that.  I'm sure River must be watching over John (and all of us) like the angel he is, and is very proud of him for what he said, too.
I like girls who are natural because I am natural in everything I do.

| I think it is amazing that John defends River in this. I still don't understand why people connect River's problem with everything he stood for? They don't relate at all. And I am in fact very disappointed in the people who can't look aside that problem and continues to think of him as bad influence or something. He is the only person to ever really inspire me and make me want to be a better person. He really deserves all the credit for that!
I think John is absolutely brilliant here. I have such profound respect for him writing that!

| Many thanks to John Robbins again for defend River.
River was not one junkie he had not take the drugs all the time.
Its why that broke my heart he had taken too many drugs this tragic night because was not his habit.
While I understand him because I have the same problems with sleeping pills and someday maybe I will take too many sleeping pills and will killed me.
Every year since 1993 I would like come back in the past this tragic night halloween 1993 and saved River and even taken this tragic cocktail to his place.
I love River with all my heart.
