Seems they are wanting to at least show it at Venice film fest.

Magnolia To Buy Joaquin Phoenix's Upcoming 'Mockumentary'

15 July 2010 6:37 AM, PDT | Screenrush | See recent Screenrush news ?

After being screened to a number of potential buyers, Magnolia Pictures has announced its acquisition of Casey Affleck's documentary following brother-in-law Joaquin Phoenix's life over the past year. According to Deadline, Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles has announced September 10 as the release date of the film with a potential festival premiere to boot.

Having seemed to drop completely off the movie radar following the release of Two Lovers in November 2008, I'm Still Here: The Lost Year Of Joaquin Phoenix marks the actor's return and reveals what exactly he has been up to of late. With debate surrounding the authenticity of his bizarre change of pace from A-list movie star to questionable hip-hop artist, it remains unclear whether this really is a genuine depiction of Phoenix's recent experiences. In response to accusations of publicity-seeking and staged stunts, Magnolia describes the film as 'a portrait of an artist at a crossroads'. ?

This would have to be my favorite River style :D I love how he would show up on the red carpet or at some other "Hollywood A List" gettogether and he wouldn't pay the least bit of attention to his clothes or anyone elses. To me thats just cool - a River thing =]

P.S. Your English is fine!

Well first, I love the black/brown jacket he wears in some scenes and photos from MOPI. But then again I love everything from MOPI.

But my favorite style of his is probably the green military like jacket he wore to a thing hosted by PETA. can't quite remember what it was exactly.

And then the outfit he is wearing in the picture below:)

GOD I LOVE HIS LONG HAIR!

But I also like the outfit he is wearing in the picture taken by Gus Van Sant in 1993.

Re: Tattoos

Thank you hun :D

It's supposed to be the Chinese sign for love. I had it done in Denmark in 2003 before I flew to New Zealand. At first I wanted a River sign, but love is a beautiful meaning and it's blue like water, so...I like it. Sometimes I regretted to have it done, but I like the blue colour and it will always remind me of a good time in my life.

Re: I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix

I wish I knew, but I honestly have no idea. :(

It will probably be released on DVD, but I personally don't think it will be shown in Danish theatres. I'm not sure where in Denmark you're located, but Cinemateket in Copenhagen shows some pretty interesting things once in a while. If it'll be shown in any theatres I think it'll at least be shown there. :)

Re: I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix

Helene, do you know if it will hit the cinemas here in DK as well, because I would really like to see it? :D

I'm trying to get a tattoo sometime in the next two weeks, and I know 100% that I want it to have something to do with River, but I'm stumped for ideas. I was thinking of getting a tattoo of a phoenix on my back, to not only commemorate River, but also signify my own personal journey. But I don't find the idea too unique, I'm sure a lot of people have done that, so does anyone have any other ideas?

I know he took some time out - for whatever reason
and a lot of people 'went off him' but i'm glad to say
i wasnt so shallow as to see a man down and kick him in the teeth!

Cant wait to see what comes about :D

Re: I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix

Wow, I can't wait to see it!
